Persona 4 I wrote quite a few notes throughout this but I do have to pre-requisite my thoughts with the fact that I did not finish the game. I put around 20+ hours into the game and I did not manage to finish it and I got fatigued massively with it. I think I gave it a fair try though. I found the story really interesting from the beginning. I thought the mystery was fascinating and I was actually quite gripped on the outcome of the story in general.
I have failed to update this blog for a while so I have taken to taking notes on the things I watch/play/read as I go. This has helped a little bit with flow. Books I am still reading The Brother Karamazov. I think I am finally “getting” it. I have got much more used to the writing style and I think that has finally allowed me to appreciate it much more.
Game one has now been ticked off the list. I actually started this game before I began this list, and it was the second time I had attempted to get through it. Now, this was not due to not enjoying it. I ended up getting so into the cowboy role-playing that I forgot to get into the story so I just stopped playing for a bit. This time, I went in with the intention of completing the game.
Django Unchained This one was a rewatch but still particularly enjoyable on the 4th time of watching. This came at a particularly great time due to combining with me finishing up my time with red dead redemption as well. Very different styles and stories but all very wild west. Django’s journey feels like a very traditional hero’s journey and you feel for the character throughout. This is made even easier by making pretty much every other character completley reprehensible throughout.
Music I am at album 32 out of 500 and I do feel like I am around 30-40% enjoyment of the albums. I think that is quite good for this, especially due to how scoped my music choice is most of the time. Two big stand-outs out of these. Pulp was great. It was made up of all the bits I enjoy from British Pop and artist like Bowie. I really enjoyed this album.
It has been a few weeks and I have been quite slow at progressing overall. I have a few small things I want to talk about in this post though. My thoughts for this post mostly revolve around ratings and some thoughts on concentration. Albums I ticked off quite a few albums from my album list due to walking to work and then spending some time working from home. I have already shifted to how I think about these albums quite a bit, which I will discuss when I talk about ratings.
It has been a few days. I have not managed to tick off any films. I am sure I will get there but currently I have not managed to get the sit down time to watch a film. It has not helped that the first rolls of films have required subtitles which I feel needs more concentration. I will get there. Albums I have listened to Prince before but this album was an unknown to me.

Some first entries and thoughts
Before I started on this blog, I did briefly start on the list so I wanted to quickly add my thoughts on what I already listened to and what I am currently working through. Albums I listened to two albums. One was “workingman’s dead” by Grateful Dead, the other was “Ask Rufus” by Rufus ft. Chaka Khan. Both of these were new to me. Grateful Dead’s album was fine, I am not sure how much I enjoy Psychedelic Rock outside of a few specific scenarios.

An introduction to this blog
A personal goal I have set for myself is a plan to collate and consume a canon list of the “best” pieces of media. I have not set a timeframe for this goal but I have over-engineered a solution to give me a random choice from 5 categories with best-of lists created by myself. In this quick introduction I want to explain the categories, how the lists were created, outcomes I would like to achieve and some justification for undertaking this.
